Restorative Results-Focused Manual Therapy
MFR - John F Barnes Myofascial Release Approach®

John F. Barnes MyoFascial Release Approach®

The John F Barnes Myofascial Release Approach® is a hands-on manual therapy that addresses fascial restriction and somatic dysfuntion associated with pain, postural imbalance, and movement limitation. This approach recognizes fascia as a continous connective tissue system that can contribute to persistent symptoms when restrictions are present.

Gentle, sustained manual pressure is applied to engage the fascial system and allow for gradual softening and elongation of restricted tissues. This method emphasizes listening to tissue response rather than applying force.

This approach is performed without oils or lotions to allow precise tissue engagement. Pressure is gentle and sustained, with sufficient time to support fascial response. It is generally well tolerated and appropriate for individuals who do not respond well to high-force or rapid techniques.

Myofascial Release may be used as a standalone service or integrated with other manual approaches as part of a comprehensive care plan. It is provided as supportive, complementary care and does not replace medical evaluation or diagnosis.
